Mendon Housing Authority Barn This barn, built in the early to mid-eighteen hundreds, is part of the Mendon Center Historic District which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. It provides a good example of historic building techniques and is representative of Mendon’s agricultural history. It is a simple drive-through barn with a raised center and three well-crafted horse stalls as well as another stall used for livestock, probably a cow. The architect states that because of the interior of the first level, the barn is “a jewel.” The Mendon Historical Commission is attempting to fund the stabilization and restoration of this barn which belongs to the Mendon Housing Authority.
